Our Story

For those of you who don't know or want a little background on how we met..well here you go, written by Chapin.
I met Stephen through Mary Kay Ryan, who at the time (August 2012), was working with me at J.Crew in Lake Forest. Mary Kay's sons, John and Patrick, were very fond of their baseball coach-Stephen! Mary Kay was adamant that I go on a blind date with Stephen. With the help of her daughers, Hally and Kate, I agreed to it. Stephen decided we should meet at Market House which is a quaint restaurant with a large patio right in Market Square by J.Crew. We were the only ones having a cocktail out on the patio for quite some time. It was the weekend before Labor Day so we talked about our love for being up in Wisconsin, mutual family friends, and you know, the typical back and forth questions. The following weeks were a little fuzzy to my memory but we went on a few more dates, attended some country concerts, sporting events, etc. We consider our relationship to have "really blossomed" when we walked the whole length of the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Ave.) looking at the Christmas lights and getting to know each other. And as they say, "the rest is history".
